Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

“Had the worst experience at this Pep Boys. If I could rate it a 0, I would. I brought my car in for a simple tire patch because there was a nail on top of the tire. The representative gave me the dumbest excuse, saying I needed a brand‑new tire because it was ‘worn out’ and the ‘thread was coming out.’ First of all, the tire is less than a year old. Second, there was no thread coming out. When I asked him to show me, he claimed it was ‘from the inside.’ I thought, wow — amazing X‑ray vision. At that point I knew he was lying and just trying to force me into buying a new tire. He really thought I didn’t know anything. I will never, ever take my car there again. Be careful — they try to scam you here.” They definitely trying to meet there quota and not be helpful to their customers.

I took my car in for brake pads and saw Betty once I got checked in even though her computer was down she was delightful!!! Rich, the technician put my car in the rack and showed me that I needed not only front brake pads but rear and I was so grateful at the good service that I said yes go ahead and do it. I am a poor nursing student and Browning Mazda where I normally go was trying to charge me $1 million dollars! As a result, I will be back to Pep Boys and get an oil change in the future, as well as any other things I need!!! I was so grateful for not only the good service but also the caring attitude by both Rich, the technician and Betty at the front desk agent!!! I recommend Pep Boys for your auto needs and like I said, I was always only going to the dealership and that has now changed because of the good service!!!

So it is convenient to have a Pep Boys Auto Service center close by for those tire needs. We initially went in looking for tires to replace on our low speed vehicle aka the RTR mobile. They did not have access to the specific size replacement but they offered their service of installing them. She mentioned if I ordered them online I could conveniently have them shipped directly to their location. That was a great option for us. We ordered them online and had them sent there . Once we confirmed that they had arrived we set up an appointment so we would not have too much of a wait. We highly recommend this. Arrived on time and did not have to wait too long. They installed them and off we went. New shoes for our vehicle. It is not a common occurrence that they have a vehicle like ours there so it was amusing to the staff which were friendly. Quick note: they do not have a retail store anymore for all the car odds & ends.

Unacceptable and inexcusable. I arrived for a scheduled oil change. They had me fill out paperwork for 30 minutes, then told me to wait 1.5 more hours. After wasting 2 full hours of my time, they suddenly said “we won’t do it today”—even though their tech was available and they were still open. This wasn’t a misunderstanding. I was clear I needed it today for a long trip, and they confirmed it. Because of their delay, I lost my only chance to get it done elsewhere. No apology can undo that. They knew, and they chose to waste my time anyway.

Excellent Customer Service. 10 Stars 🌟. I called ahead. I expected the service to take several hours. This team over delivered. I got a text message and a pleasant call letting me know my vehicle was ready ahead of schedule. I recommend coming to this store if you need service for your vehicle.
